Abit KT7-Raid and EWS

Hi,

again a stressed EWS User.
The EWS just worked fine since i bought a new HDD. I activated the RAID-Controller and reinstalled Windows 2000 on a HDD connected to the raid controler. And now every Time i trie to install the drivers i get an error for the Digital Conrtoll. Error 31 in the device manager.
hm
i allready pluged out cards, reserved irq's and dma's in the bios and nothing helped.
i reconfigured the ews eeprom with new settings and wenn i look at the resoureces in the device manager the ist no conflict.
there is nothing else i know to do.
perhaps some one can help me.
i have a Athlon 1.2 Ghz
256 MB
Apadtec 2940
GFroce 256
WinTV PCI
3com 905B-Tx
and an IBM hdd.

have you reconfigured the ews eeprom in dos mode..I had try that ...it's work!!!

I don't know why....


The ews64 is a "miracle soundcard"

yes i tried it out of windows 2000 and with a blank dos boot disk.

now i deactivated the codec and now it works.
hm but sometimes my sound crackels.
got sp2 and via-sp 4.34 installed.
anyone any idea how to fix this ?

Now i got it work.
After installing and testing thousands of settings i finaly got a fix.
I installed the Highpoint Driver version v.1.0.3b
This one is still available via www.abit.nl
check it out. a friend of mine has a sblive5.1 platinum and had the same problems
and with this driver version it works perfectly.
